We have been making our own wine for a number of years, and nearly purchased a Pinot Noir vineyard in Oregon's Williamette Valley in 2004. After suffering a layoff in 2009 we decided we would invest in ourselves and turn our passion from a hobby to a business.
Thus in December of 2009 we opened a homebrew/wine giftshop while we awaited getting our permit to sell wine. On August 25th we received both our federal and state winery permits and started winemaking on site as well as selling wine by the glass and bottle on premises in our tasting room.
Unfortunately, just as we finally got all the pieces in place, Tropical Storm Hermine dropped 16 inches of rain on Salado Creek. The creek flooded, washing all our inventory and winemaking equipment downstream, and ruining our winery building. We re-opened on October 15th with LOTS of help from many folks in our new location of 227 N. Main Street.
We offer live music every Saturday night from March through December and we appear at many different events around Texas. See our Calendar page for details!
We could not have re-opened our doors without the help of several local businesses and people. We hope you choose to visit each of them and mention that you saw them on this page!
