Winery

Our Winery is located at 418 North Main Street in historic Salado, Texas.  We make all our wines on site using mainly Texas fruit.  We are the leading award winning winery in Bell County, having won medals at the Indianapolis International Wine Festival, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo International Wine Competition, the Taste of Georgetown, the Austin Star of Texas Rodeo "Off The Vine" Competition, and the Lonestar International Wine Competition.

We offer wine tasting classes for groups of 10 or more persons.  These classes can be scheduled every day except Saturday, and can even be scheduled at other locations (additional charges for off site classes may apply).  We charge $15 per person.  The class takes about an hour and allows each participant to purchase wine at a 10% discount at the conclusion of the class. Contact us at the winery to schedule your class today!

Our tasting room holds tastings every day, and you can also order wine by the glass or bottle.

Our Wines: (All purchases made in the tasting room receive a 5% discount when paying with cash)

Wildfire White Table Wine(SOLD OUT) - 92% Pinot Grigio, 4% Semillon, 4% Chenin Blanc.  Perfectly balanced and refreshingly crisp.  Pairs well chilled with seafood and light pasta dishes.  Our best selling dry white.

Chardonnay - $17.95 - "Naked" Chardonnay processed entirely in stainless.  An extremely approachable unoaked wine, hints of pear and tropical fruit are evident.  Serve with any white meat dish, well chilled.

Cowpuncher Cabernet - $24.10 - Wonderfully fruit-forward Cabernet Sauvignon with label artwork by local Salado artist Beau Whitaker.  A great red wine, very smooth with minimal oaking and a lingering finish which highlights the flavor of the grape.

"Vaquero" Shiraz/Tempranillo Blend(SOLD OUT) - With strong blackberry and black pepper aroma notes, this powerful 75% Shiraz/25% Tempranillo finishes with flavors of espresso and leather.  Enjoyed best served at cellar temperature with robust foods, particularly lamb.

"Stagecoach" Red Table Wine - $17.95 - An all-Texas fruit blend of 85% Sangiovese and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon created in the "Super Tuscan" (or should we say Super Texan?) style.  Pairs well with herbed meatballs, or anything you would normally pair with Chianti.

2010 Merlot - (SOLD OUT) - with a bouquet of licorice, cassis and tobacco, this deeply purple Texas Merlot exhibits extremely intense flavors.  Cedar and vanilla linger on the palate, and the finish is full of very soft tannins.  Aged for 18 months in American (Missouri) white oak, it will age nicely with medium to long term cellar maturation.  Bronze

2012 Tempranillo - ($31.45) - Rustic black cherry and strawberry notes dominate this light, tasty Tempranillo.  Long used to make the famous Spanish Rioja wines, this grape is finding a new home in Texas.  Pairs excellently with somewhat less spicy Mexican food, beef or pork tenderloin, and Ahi tuna or salmon.

"Tempted By Zin" - (SOLD OUT) - A heavenly blend of our hellishly good 2010 Tempranillo and a 2010 Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel.  The black cherry and strawberry notes from the Tempranillo combine perfectly with the jammy Zinfandel to create this excellent blend.
